Fill in the blanks.
1. The sense organs
contain thousands of nerves.
2. The nerves
linked with our senses send messages to the brain.
3. A good touch makes us feel comfortable.(good)
4. The deaf and
dumb use sign language to communicate.

smell and taste go together.

1. Eye:       Ans:- sight,
eyelids images, blink, tears

our body
III.
Answer the following questions.
1. How do our sense organs
help us?
Ans: – Sense organs
help us to feel the world around. They protect us from harm.
2. How does the sense of sight
work?
Ans:-  i. sight begins when
light rays bounce off the surface of objects.
ii. The rays enter
the eye and travel to the brain in the form of signal.

to track the thieves because dog’s sense of smell is thousand times more
sensitive than humans.

the nose?
Ans: – Following are
the functions of our nose-
·
Nose helps us to breath and smell.
·
It helps us to differentiate between the
various smells.
·
The nerve endings present in the nose, pick

The sense of touch keeps us safe
The organ
for the human sense of touch is the skin. It is the largest sense organ since
it covers the entire body. Our sense of touch helps us to respond to different
stimuli such as pain, pressure, tension, temperature, texture, shape, weight,
contours and vibrations. It helps us move away when the brain tells that there
is a danger
